Hello! My name is Julie Miller and this will be my 4th year teaching 4th grade. While I am new to Newport Elementary I taught my first 3 years at Morehead Elementary School. I have lived in Carteret County for 14 years and have loved every minute of it! I went to Broad Creek Middle School, then Croatan High School, and then on to East Carolina University. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading from ECU in December of 2008, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I am a fun and energetic teacher and I am excited to have the opportunity to teach and learn from your child this year!

My number one goal is to boost students’ confidence level, especially in Math, but also in all other areas of their life. I think they are all capable of more than they sometimes show us and I want them to realize that they have those capabilities throughout this year! I believe that we can all do anything we set our minds to!

I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to join the NES family and I look forward to learning all the new faces and new possiblities that await me here! Mrs. Falvey and I have a lot to look forward to as we begin the new school year and our new partnership because it is going to be a great one!

Thanks for Your Support,

Julie Miller 🙂
